For DJé, a journey-timed Spotify playlist application developed by ZeeZeeLabs.

1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using DJé ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ZeeZeeLabs regarding your use of the App.
2. Description of Service
DJé is a mobile application that creates Spotify playlists timed to the duration of your journey. The App uses Google Maps APIs to calculate travel time and Spotify's API to create and manage playlists. DJé offers both free and premium subscription features managed through RevenueCat.
DJé is intended to assist users in creating appropriately timed music playlists and is not a navigation, traffic guidance, or driving assistance application.
3. No User Account
DJé does not require you to create a separate user account. Authentication is handled through your existing Spotify account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Spotify account credentials. ZeeZeeLabs is not responsible for any unauthorized access to your Spotify account.
4. Spotify Integration
Third-Party Platform Compliance
Your use of DJé's Spotify integration is subject to Spotify's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using DJé, you authorize us to access your Spotify account to create playlists, read your library, and manage playback as necessary for the App's core functionality. You may revoke this access at any time through your Spotify account settings or the App.

5. Google Maps Services
Location Services
DJé uses Google Maps APIs to calculate journey duration. Your use of these features is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. Location data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary permissions and data allowances from your mobile carrier when using location-based features.

6. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium Features
DJé offers premium features through subscription plans managed by RevenueCat and processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). All payments are handled by these third-party platforms and are subject to their respective terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings
- Refund requests are subject to the refund policies of the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as applicable.
- ZeeZeeLabs reserves the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use DJé for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the service. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App while operating a vehicle in a manner that violates local traffic laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or FastAPI backend
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the App
- Interfere with other users' access to or use of the App
8. Safety and Responsible Use
DJé is designed to reduce driver distraction by automatically managing your music during journeys. However, you remain responsible for operating your vehicle safely and in compliance with all applicable laws. Never interact with the App in a way that diverts your attention from driving. ZeeZeeLabs is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from distracted driving or misuse of the App while operating a vehicle.
9. Intellectual Property
DJé and all content, features, and functionality are owned by ZeeZeeLabs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not permit you to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
DJé is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. ZeeZeeLabs does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not guarantee the accuracy of journey time calculations, which depend on third-party services including Google Maps and may be affected by traffic, road conditions, and other factors outside our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZeeZeeLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App's premium features (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
12. Termination
ZeeZeeLabs reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We may provide additional notice of significant changes through the App, our website, or other appropriate communication channels. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
