1. Introduction
ZeeZeeLabs ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use DJé, our mobile application that creates journey-timed Spotify playlists. By using DJé, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. No Account Creation Required
DJé does not require you to create a separate user account. Authentication is handled exclusively through Spotify's secure OAuth system. We do not maintain a separate user database or collect traditional account information such as usernames, passwords, or email addresses directly.
DJé is intended to assist users in creating appropriately timed music playlists and is not a navigation, traffic guidance, or driving assistance application.
3. Information We Collect
Spotify Authentication Data
Spotify authentication tokens are securely stored on the user's device. Where required to perform playlist operations, authentication tokens may be transmitted securely to DJé backend services using encrypted connections. We do not access or store your Spotify password.
Location and Journey Data
DJé uses journey origin and destination information pulled from Google APIs solely to calculate estimated travel duration and generate appropriately timed playlists. Location information is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking users across applications.
Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed through Google Play (and Apple App Store when available). ZeeZeeLabs does not process or store payment card information. DJé uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat processes your purchase and subscription status. We receive anonymized subscription status information to enable or disable premium features. We do not store or have access to your payment card details.
Information Processed to Provide the Service
DJé processes the information necessary to provide its core functionality, including:
- Journey origin and destination
- Estimated travel duration
- Spotify authentication tokens
- Subscription status information provided by RevenueCat
This information is used exclusively to generate and manage journey-timed playlists and provide premium features where applicable.
DJé does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or selling user data.
4. No Advertising or Tracking
DJé does not use advertising SDKs, behavioural tracking technologies, or third-party analytics services to profile users or deliver targeted advertisements.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you with Spotify and create playlists on your behalf
- To calculate journey duration using Google Maps APIs for playlist timing
- To manage your subscription status and premium feature access via RevenueCat
- To troubleshoot technical issues and improve app functionality
- To comply with legal obligations when required

DJé does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. All communication between DJé and our FastAPI backend uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Spotify tokens are stored securely using platform-specific secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). We do not store your location history or journey data on our servers.
9. Data Retention
Authentication tokens are stored only on your device and are deleted when you log out or uninstall the app. Journey data (start location, destination, and travel time) is processed in real-time and is not retained. Subscription information is managed by RevenueCat in accordance with their data retention policies.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Disconnect your Spotify account at any time through the app settings
- Request deletion of any data we may hold by contacting us
- Opt out of analytics collection through your device settings
- Manage or cancel your subscription through RevenueCat or your device's app store
11. Children's Privacy
DJé is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.
